Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 150g butter, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 400g dark chocolate, chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160oC
  2. Place brown and white sugars, butter and vanilla in an electric mixer and beat for 8-10 minutes
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add egg, beating well to combine
  4. Add the flour, salt and baking powder and beat on low speed, until a dough forms
  5. Fold in the chocolate
  6. Roll a teaspoon of dough into a ball, flatten slightly and place on greased baking tray
  7. Bake for 17-20 minutes or until golden
